Diego is a Chartered Civil Engineer with an MBA in Finance and a PG Certificate in Infrastructure Project Finance, leads our Technical Due Diligence and Operation and Maintenance Services for transactions on infrastructure projects across the globe.

His international experience in leading TDD and O&M Services on major infrastructure projects spans across the Americas, Europe, and Australasia, and across highways, light rail transits, major bridges and tunnels, airports and locks on behalf of Lenders, Investors, Vendors and Developers.

His career also includes the design and construction of major cable-stayed bridges, viaducts and other complex structures.

Steer provides LTA services to support the A465 sections 5 & 6 dualling financial close

On 28 October 2020, the Future Valleys Consortium (led by FCC and Meridiam and supported by Roadbridge, Alun Griffiths and Atkins) reached financial close on the circa GBP 550m design, build, finance, operate and maintain A465 section 5 & 6 road project in Wales, United Kingdom. The A465 project is the first project to be procured by the Welsh Government under the Mutual Investment Model (MIM).
